Through all the battles, the highs and the lows it the people around you who make the game worthwhile. ‘15’ highlights the community created within a team as well as raising awareness of the skill and control used to play rugby, helping break the associations with it as a violent male-dominated sport. ‘15’ celebrates the achievements made by the women’s team by focusing on the group commitment to their training as well as the successful breaks and tackles made by individuals in matches showing to viewers how far they have come in their weeks of training.

The film produced is inspired by my own experience playing for the University’s women’s rugby team where I have built on drawing out these communal aspects of the team which I have witnessed from psyching each other up in the changing rooms to supporting teammates on the pitch. Being part of the team: the viewer will be transported to the heart of the action on the pitch and given a unique perspective of team life.
